Fraps
Fraps is a software " 3in1 " which suggests at the same time showing the number of images per second of a game (FPS), making screen shots and finally recording sequences of video games. Concerning features, Fraps knows how to protect screen shots in the formats BMP, JPEG, PNG and TGA with an option of Timer which automates the task of taking capture. For videos, the recording can be made half there or full resolution, to 30, 50 or 60 FPS, in stereo or multi-channelling, the whole in the format AVI. Finally, Fraps can also play the role of benchmark by recording the statistics of FPS during a sequence of game. To note that it is from now on compatible DirectX 11, nVidia 3DVision in DX10 and DX11, ATI Eyefinity and videos can be finally read and published in VLC or any other media player.
